This class is designed to help elementary school students to become a confident speaker using short stories such as Aesop’s fables so that they can learn how to deliver the contents of stories verbally in effective ways.
They will learn about speech related skills such as how to use intonations, gestures, accents, and speed etc., while they are acting the stories and getting feedbacks from staffs and peers. Kids will be interacting with staffs (high school students) about the given contents, by discussing the morality and analyzing characters in each story and acting out the stories with members.
Finally, every last week of each month, they will be given a chance to tell the story verbally in front of the audience (staffs and peers) either by a group or individual presentation. If they want, their storytelling will be videotaped and be given to them.
1. Be inspirational speakers!
2. Be logical thinkers!
3. Be influential bridges to the world
